Raspberry Pi began producing microprocessors for ventilators. The cost of one Zero single-core board, which will be installed in American ventilators, is only $5. This is written by TechXplore.

American manufacturers of mechanical ventilation devices began to choose Zero boards because of their low cost, efficiency and the company’s ability to produce them quickly with a short delivery time.

Now, ventilators with a microprocessor from Raspberry Pi have not yet been tested – first, scientists will test such devices on animals, and only after that clinical trials will begin. It is not yet known when such devices will appear in American hospitals.

The Pi Zero is equipped with a single-core Broadcom BCM2835 processor with a clock frequency of 1 GHz and 512 MB of RAM.
