Rafael Nadal: I don’t feel like I dominate on the court

Rafael Nadal commented on the victory (6: 1, 6: 4, 6: 0) over the Italian Stefano Travaglia in the third round of the French Open.

“I entered the court with great respect for my opponent and hoping to show my best tennis. We saw his victories over Nishikori and Andujar. I think today I took a step forward in many ways. Stefano played especially well in the second game, where the fight was equal. I am glad that in the end, I became the winner of this segment.

I don’t feel like I dominate the court. The result speaks for this, but my game is a completely different story. Each next match is a challenge, ” – the official website of the Asia-Pacific Region quotes Nadal as saying.

For reaching the quarterfinals, Nadal will compete with American Sebastian Korda, who beat Spaniard Pedro Martinez-Portero with a score of 6: 4, 6: 3, 6: 1.

The French Open will end on October 12. Rafael Nadal is the current champion of the competition, in last year’s final he defeated Dominic Tim – 6: 3, 5: 7, 6: 1, 6: 1.
