Qualcomm unveils Snapdragon 750G chip with Snapdragon X52 5G modem

Qualcomm has announced another processor for low-cost smartphones with support for the fifth-generation network.

The novelty was named Snapdragon 750G. The SoC is the successor to the Snapdragon 730G/732G. The chip is built using an 8-nanometer process technology. It contains two high-performance 2.2 GHz Cortex-A77 cores and six energy-efficient 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The novelty also received the Adreno 619 video accelerator, which is 10% more powerful than the Adreno 618 in the Snapdragon 730G. Overall, processor performance has increased by 20%.

The SoC also boasts a Snapdragon X52 5G modem. It works on mmWave/sub-6 networks with a maximum download speed of up to 3.7 Gbps. The chip also received support for Wi-Fi 6 with FastConnect 6200 technology, Bluetooth 5.1, Quick Charge 4+ fast charging, several camera modules, as well as HDR displays with a frequency of 120 Hz and FHD+ resolution.

Snapdragon 750G smartphones will hit the market before the end of this year. By the way, one of the first will be Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, which may be presented at the presentation on September 30.
