Qualcomm announced its top-end Snapdragon 888 processor at the end of 2020, and now it seems to be working on an improved version of it.
This was hinted at by the Chinese insider Digital Chat Station on the Weibo social network. The processor will be called Snapdragon 888 Plus or Snapdragon 888 Pro. SoC specifications are not yet available, but we can assume that it will become an overclocked version of the regular model. It was the same with the Snapdragon 855/855+ and Snapdragon 865/865+ chips.
Interestingly, one of the first to receive a new processor is the Honor smartphone. The device is planned to be launched on the market later this year.
By the way, Honor is now preparing to release the Honor 50 Pro+, which will run on a regular Snapdragon 888 processor. According to the leaks, its announcement will take place next month.
