Putin said that he is discussing oil prices with partners in OPEC and the United States

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he is discussing the fall in oil prices with partners in OPEC and the United States, who are also concerned about this.

At a meeting with the government, Putin cited falling energy prices as one of the main problems, along with the consequences of the spread of the coronavirus.

“And of course, the drop in prices for our main export product is very significant, serious and deep. We are discussing this with our colleagues here at home and internationally with our partners in OPEC, and I recently discussed this issue with the President of the United States,” Putin said.

“Americans are also concerned about this, because their profitability of shale oil production fluctuates, according to various estimates, around $ 40 per barrel, so this is also a difficult test for the American economy,” he continued.
