Rumors of ColorOS 12 firmware for OnePlus 2019 and 2020 flagship smartphones have been around for a long time. But the company finally decided to put an end to them and published an official schedule for the update.
The OnePlus 9 family got ColorOS software out of the box instead of HydrogenOS. Older flagship smartphones will receive firmware over the air.
The company intends to update all seven models released in 2019 and 2020. This was announced by the chief operating officer. We are talking about OnePlus 7/7 Pro, OnePlus 7T / 7T Pro, OnePlus 8/8 Pro and OnePlus 8T.
In early 2022, ColorOS 12 will be available as an open beta for the eighth generation family. Until the end of the first half of the year, the trio of flagships will also receive a stable software build.
In mid-2022, ColorOS 12 Open Beta will “arrive” to the flagship 7-series models. The smartphone quartet two years ago will receive a stable update in the second half of next year. The firmware itself will be presented this month.
