PUBG changed name to PUBG: Battlegrounds

The media noticed that in digital stores and social networks, PUBG has changed its name to PUBG: Battlegrounds. The full name of the game is now PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: Battlegrounds.

Krafton has confirmed the name change to PC Gamer.

“Krafton is actively expanding the PUBG brand with many new experiences in its universe. The rebranding of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to PUBG: Battlegrounds is the first step in realizing this vision. Additional titles for the franchise will be called PUBG, as can be seen in the upcoming PUBG: New State. ”

As a reminder, PUBG: New State is a mobile battle royale set in 2051. In addition, in the PUBG universe, but already 300 years later, the events of The Callisto Protocol, a story-driven sci-fi horror from the author of Dead Space, unfold.

PUBG: New State will be released this year on Android and iOS, and The Callisto Protocol will be released in 2022 on PC and consoles.
