Pro1-X slider smartphone with physical QWERTY keyboard and multiple OS hits Indiegogo

The F (x) tec startup, together with the XDA Developers portal, created the Pro1-X smartphone, which successfully debuted on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform. By the way, its prototype was officially shown during the MWC 2019 exhibition in Barcelona.

At first glance, this is a regular smartphone with a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160 × 1080 pixels protected by Gorilla Glass 3. But underneath it is a slide-out QWERTY keyboard with physical buttons, which turns the smartphone into a mini-laptop.

Another feature of the device is support for several operating systems: Android 9, Ubuntu Touch OS, and LineageOS. As a result, users will install two operating systems on the same phone and configure the software themselves.

“The Pro1-X’s unique design combines a modern touchscreen smartphone with the added functionality of a landscape-oriented physical keyboard. This is the smartphone that gives you control. Control over your data, control over your privacy, and choice of software. For the first time a smartphone with high technical characteristics, your choice – Android, Lineage OS or Ubuntu Touch OS out of the box, ”the developers note.

The Pro1-X also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of ROM, an 8-megapixel front camera, a dual main camera (12 MP+5 MP), NFC, and a 3200 mAh battery.

Originally available on Indiegogo Pro1-X for $600, now the price has risen to $ 899. Not cheap, but the smartphone has found its audience: instead of the planned $75 thousand, more than $600 thousand have already been raised. 13 days are left until the end of the collection, the first deliveries are promised in March.
