Prince Harry and Prince William will be on opposite sides at the funeral

Prince Harry and Prince William will not follow Prince Consort Philip’s body together, which breaks tradition. It is reported by the British edition of the Daily Mail.

According to media reports, this is the decision of Queen Elizabeth II. She wished that their cousin Peter Phillips walked between the brothers, which breaks long tradition and confirms rumours of feud in the royal family.

“It became known that the queen will travel in a funeral cortege in the state Bentley. Harry will not walk alongside William … The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex … will be separated by cousin Peter Phillips as they pass in line for their grandfather’s coffin. When the coffin is transferred to the chapel, William will move in front of his brother, ” the publication’s journalists said.

Apart from this, Prince Harry will not wear a uniform that shows all of his titles. This is since the Duke of Sussex was dismissed from the British Army. Also, Prince Andrew will be without a uniform since he was accused of having sex with a minor not so long ago.

Note that the farewell ceremony for Prince Philip, who died on April 9, will be held on April 17. As noted in the official press release, the coffin with the Prince Consort body will be removed from the chapel of Windsor Castle, and the prince will be buried on the territory of the castle. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, only 30 people were invited to the ceremony.
