The Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to meet with the Queen to support their status and earn even more money. The Daily Star reports this.
According to Daily Mail columnist and expert on the royal family, Andrew Pierce, maintaining ties with relatives in the UK will be crucial for the continued success of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the United States.
“They understand that their only opportunity to continue to sell well in the United States is to use the connection with the most famous woman in the world, the queen. That’s why they are so eager to meet her,” he explained.
Journalist Richard Eden suggested that both sides need this meeting. According to him, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to keep in touch with members of the royal family, and they, in turn, want the christening of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s daughter Lilibet to take place in Britain.
Earlier it was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked for an audience with Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. The court considered that such a meeting was possible but recalled that the relations of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with the Queen are not going through the best of times.
