Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to UK

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to the UK to continue working on their charitable projects. This was stated by Omid Scobie, one of the authors of the biographical book on the couple’s life, “In Search of Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Creation of the Modern Royal Family”.

The secular chronicler said that the couple will periodically come to London as soon as the restrictions are lifted in the world due to the new coronavirus pandemic. “They will be happy to come and do fieldwork. Harry and Meghan have made it clear that they will continue to do business in the UK”, Scobie said.

Nevertheless, the author of the book doubted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would return to the duties of the senior members of the royal family, although Elizabeth II told them that she was always ready to accept them. “Harry and Meghan are now absorbed in their nonprofit foundation Archewell and are based in California. Great Britain will always be important to them, but I doubt that they will return to royal duties”, the chronicler stressed.

On April 1, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially left the British royal family. To be eligible to relocate to the United States, work and do business, they had to abandon the Your Royal Highness appeal, government funding, and the Sussex Royal brand. In the coming months, they will be able to count on the help of Harry’s father, Prince Charles, who will pay the expenses of his son and daughter-in-law from his own funds.

Since early July, the couple has been living in a $ 15 million mansion in Santa Barbara County, California. They moved there from Los Angeles, as Prince Harry hated the city because of the crowds of tourists and paparazzi.
