Last weekend, a joyful event took place in the family of the 42-year-old Crown Prince of Sweden Karl Philip and his 36-year-old wife Sofia – the christening of Julian’s youngest son Herbert Folke. Previously, photos from the ceremony have already appeared on the network, taken at the royal chapel of the Drottningholm Palace in Stockholm.
A few hours ago, the Swedish royal palace published new portraits of the royal family, taken in the chambers of the Drottningholm palace – the summer residence of the Swedish kings. In the first photo, Princess Sophia and Prince Carl Philip pose with their three sons, Alexander, 5, Julian, and Gabriel, 3. All family members in this picture, including the little hero of the occasion, are smiling and looking at the camera.
In the rest of the photos, taken in the luxurious interiors of the 16th century palace, other members of the royal family join Sophia and Karl with their children, as well as close people – King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden with his wife Sylvia, the parents of Princess Sophia, as well as the godparents of baby Julian.
In the new official portraits, Princess Sophia poses in the same image in which she appeared at the christening of her youngest son in the chapel – in a white dress with Etro floral embroidery, ivory shoes and a large bow on her head.
The imminent replenishment of Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip in the family became known in December last year, and baby Julian was born at the end of March. During pregnancy, Sofia and her husband had been ill with coronavirus. Fortunately, this circumstance did not affect the health of the young mother and her youngest son in any way.
