The law will allow Federal authorities to send aid to American companies and US residents affected by the coronavirus epidemic.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Senate approved a package of additional measures to help American companies and us residents affected by the epidemic. This package is included in the text of the law signed by the President.
The law provides for additional budget allocations related to the public health emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as changes to Federal programs to provide citizens with food, social protection and unemployment benefits, as well as medical insurance during an emergency due to the coronavirus epidemic.
“The law should help the nation respond to the coronavirus outbreak. One of the provisions of the bill requires the Secretary of agriculture, under certain circumstances, to submit a report to Congress containing recommendations on legislative matters. My administration will respect this provision,” President Trump said in a statement.
