Pompeo said the US is ready for provocations during Trump’s illness

The United States is ready to provoke opponents during the illness of President Donald Trump, said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

“Our team is ready… We know that there are criminal, malicious actors in the world. The US is fully prepared, both the state Department and our diplomats. I was with (Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the US armed forces) General Milley today. Everyone is ready,” Pompeo said when asked if anyone could take advantage of the situation with Trump’s illness to harm US interests.

Trump was hospitalized on October 2 with a diagnosis of coronavirus. He did not delegate any authority to Vice President Pence.
