President Donald Trump said he was not considering Mike Pompeo for the post of assistant to the head of state for national security. This was reported in the press service of the White House.
“We get along well with him, our views on many things coincide (…) but he would have preferred someone else to be there,” Trump said, adding that he agreed with Pompeo’s view.
Earlier it was reported that Donald Trump is considering appointing national security adviser Mike Pompeo. Before, more than a year and a half, this post was held by John Bolton, whom the American President dismissed on September 10. Pompeo himself was very happy about the resignation of Bolton, with whom he conflicted.
Charlie Capperman became acting national security adviser to the President of the United States.
