Pompeo meets with Israeli Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Bahrain

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif al-Zayani in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

The US State Department announced the meeting.

The interlocutors reportedly discussed the historic “Abraham agreements” recently signed by Israel and Bahrain and the path to achieving peace, stability, and security in the region.

Secretary Pompeo reiterated the United States ‘ strong support for normalizing relations between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Foreign Minister welcomed the steps to extend the “Abraham agreements” to the entire region and further promote peace initiatives.
