Pompeo discussed the coronavirus situation with the foreign Ministers of six countries

US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo discussed the coronavirus pandemic in a conference with colleagues from six countries, state Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus said in a statement.

The foreign Ministers of Australia, Brazil, India, Israel, Japan, and South Korea attended the meeting with Pompeo. The State Department does not explain why Pompeo communicated with representatives of these countries. In Australia and South Korea, the spread of the virus is generally under control. Japan may cancel the state of emergency this week. In India, the quarantine has been going on for seven weeks and maybe eased after May 17. In Israel, restrictions in connection with the coronavirus have declined. Meanwhile, in Brazil, the death toll exceeded 10,000 people, the Brazilian Congress and the Supreme Court declared three days of mourning the day before.
