US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo did not rule out the imposition of sanctions against Belarus.
In an interview, the text of which was circulated by the State Department, Pompeo was asked whether sanctions would be imposed on Minsk or oil supplies would be suspended.
“I’m sure we’ll consider all these things. But the criteria are essential. What we think we can do, not only unilaterally as the United States but in a multilateral format, to achieve a good result for the Belarusian people – regardless of whether they will be sanctions or decisions on the supply (oil) of products. These things have not yet been determined”, Pompeo said.
