Pompeo declared a “moment for change” in Venezuela due to the pandemic

US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo said that the General situation in the world creates conditions for changes in Venezuela, he ordered to work on the issue of reopening the American Embassy in Caracas.

“For Venezuela, I am happy to report that the General situation and multilateral efforts are creating a great moment to restore democracy. I have asked my team to update our plans to open our Embassy in Caracas so that we are ready to do so as soon as (Venezuelan President Nicolas) Maduro will leave, we will raise our flag again,” Pompeo said at a news conference.
