About 49% of Americans support the impeachment of President Donald Trump. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey published on Friday, conducted by ABC in conjunction with the newspaper the Washington Post.
According to the results of the study, among democratic respondents, the number of those who support the removal of trump from power is 82%. Among Republicans, the figure is only 18%. At the same time, 47% of respondents oppose the impeachment procedure against the American leader.
In addition, 66% of respondents believe that trump’s behavior does not correspond to his position, according to the results of the survey. 50% of respondents believe that Trump is using the presidency for his own benefit. In general, only 38% of respondents approve of Trump’s activities as head of the US administration.
The survey, which was attended by more than 1 thousand people, was conducted from 27 to 30 October. The margin of error is about 3.7 percentage points.
