About 90% of Venezuelan citizens want Nicolas Maduro to resign as the President. Such results of a public opinion poll conducted by the Venezuelan company Meganalisis, published on its website on Saturday the newspaper El Nacional.
The study was organized from 11 to 14 March in the 16 most populated States and 32 cities of the Republic, it was attended by 1.1 thousand people. Of these, 88.9% supported the early resignation of Maduro and his government. The statistical error in the survey was 3.3%.
Venezuela in recent years has been experiencing an acute socio-economic crisis, accompanied by hyperinflation and devaluation of the national currency. In 2019, the situation was complicated by a sharp aggravation of the confrontation between the government and its political opponents.
