Polish Prime Minister Wants US Troops Leaving Germany Relocated to Poland

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki hopes that the United States will relocate at least some of its troops from Germany to the Republic.

“Of course, the decision is on the side of the United States, the President (Donald) Trump, but we expect that the contingent in Poland will grow all the time,” Morawiecki said, answering the question whether the US will transfer its soldiers from Germany.

“The talks are continuing. Such conversations are conducted in silence. In due time, we will announce this, ” the Polish Prime Minister added, Recalling that about 5,000 US military personnel are currently stationed in Poland.

He also said that American troops are necessary for Poland to protect itself from Russia. “The real danger comes from the Eastern border,” Moravetsky said.

He is sure that the transfer of American troops to Poland “will strengthen all NATO.”
