Police were injured during a house check in Kansas

Three police officers were injured in the American city of Wichita, Kansas, due to “a possible explosion of an unknown device” while checking a non-residential building, local police said.

As noted in the police, law enforcement officers were sent to check the house on Saturday, at about 16.00 local time.

“Upon entering the building, three police officers were injured in a possible explosion of an unknown device,” the Wichita Police Department said on Twitter.

The injured police officers were hospitalized. One of them was seriously injured. His condition is assessed as stable. The other two escaped with minor injuries. The incident is currently being investigated.
