Police told about the victims of the shooting in Seattle

A 16-year-old teenager was killed, and another 14-year-old was injured in a shooting at the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) occupied by protesters in Seattle, according to the city’s Police Department.

The report recalls that the shooting occurred early in the morning local time at the intersection of 12 Avenue and Pike Street. Presumably, both teenagers were in the jeep. Both were taken to the hospital, one in a private car. It is indicated that investigators examined the automobile, but concluded that it was already “trampled,” which is likely to complicate the investigation of the crime.

Other details of what happened are not provided.

Protesters occupied several blocks in Central Seattle a few days ago, declaring the area a “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ). Police officers were ordered to leave the area to reduce tensions.
