LONDON – Law enforcement agencies of the UK called the name of the man who attacked on Friday with a knife on passers-by on London Bridge. It turned out to be Usman Khan, previously convicted of links with terrorists.
Now it is known that the man was 28 years old, he lived in Staffordshire. As it turned out, the identity of the attacker was well known to local security services, as in 2012, Usman was tried for links with Islamic terrorists, Free News reports.
The man was released a year ago. One of the addresses in Staffordshire is currently being searched.
We will remind, on Friday, November 29, in the center of the capital of Great Britain the man armed with a knife, made attack on people. Arrived at the scene, the police managed to eliminate the offender. A suicide belt with a dummy explosive device was found on him. The state of emergency was recognized as a terrorist act.
As later reported, two people died as a result of the attack, three were admitted to hospital.
