Pirlo to lead Juventus

Former Juventus and Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has been appointed head coach of the Turin team.

Pirlo played for Juventus from 2011 to 2015. As part of the Turin team, the footballer played 164 matches, scored 19 goals and gave 38 assists. As part of Juventus, Pirlo is the champion of Italy (seasons 2011/2012, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015), winner of the Cup (season 2014/2015) and the country’s Super Cup (2012, 2013).

Today, 8 August, Juventus announced the dismissal of Maurizio Sarri. The day before, in the return leg of the Champions League 1/8 finals, Juventus from Turin beat Lyon.
