Pierre-Luc Dubois made Columbus history in the playoffs and repeated Günzel’s achievement

In Toronto, at the Scotiabank Arena stadium, the 1/8 finals of the Stanley Cup playoffs between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Toronto Maple Leafs took place. The match ended with the victory of Columbus with a score of 4: 3 OT.

Columbus forward Pierre-Luc Dubois scored three goals in the match and was named the first star. The Canadian scored the first knockout hat-trick in Blue Jackets history, scoring a decisive goal in overtime.

The last player in the entire league to score a hat-trick in extra time in the Stanley Cup was Pittsburgh Penguins striker Jake Gunzel in 2017.
