Pentagon chief on COVID-19’s impact on the US military

The head of the Pentagon, Mark Esper, said that the coronavirus pandemic would have a certain impact on the combat readiness of the United States forces.

According to him, due to the pandemic, a number of exercises are canceled.

“If this pandemic continues on the scale that some predict for a long time, its impact on combat readiness will be noticeable,” Esper told a news conference.
