Pence held a meeting of the coronavirus working group

Federal authorities pay special attention to the States where the coronavirus outbreak occurred.

Vice President Mike Pence held a meeting of the White House working group on coronavirus on Monday. Representatives from all states, territories, and the District of Columbia participated in the conference.

During the meeting, Pence said that Federal authorities sent medical personnel to Arizona, California, and Texas, as well as to Florida, where a recent spike in coronavirus infections was registered.

The Vice President stressed the need to wear masks and support social distancing measures.

Mike Pence and the Director of the Centers for disease control and prevention, Robert Redfield, focused on the safe opening of schools.

Dr. Deborah Birx provided an update on COVID-19 distribution trends. During her speech, Birx called for intensive testing.

Health Minister Alex Azar gave the latest data on the distribution of drugs used in the treatment of coronavirus – remdesivir and regeneron. The Minister asked the States to increase the supply of covalent plasma.
Deputy health Minister Admiral Brett Giroir provided an update on the timing of testing in commercial laboratories and support for testing, calling on state authorities to prioritize the protection of older people.
