Pelosi called COVID-19 “the Trump virus”

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi in an interview with CNN called the coronavirus “the Trump virus.”

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the situation with the coronavirus in the US is likely to get worse: “it will get worse first before it gets better.” Trump also called on all residents of the country to wear masks when it is impossible to maintain a social distance.

“I think the President’s comments today show that he recognized the mistakes he made… Admitted that this is not a hoax, this is a pandemic that has already gotten worse before it gets better because of his inaction. And this is the Trump virus. If he had said a few months ago: let’s wear masks, let’s keep a social distance…more people would have followed his example. Instead of setting a bad example,” Pelosi said in an interview with the TV channel.

Previously, Trump suggested calling COVID-19 “Kung-flu” or “Chinese flu”.
