Part of the US Open tennis matches postponed due to rain

The start of several matches of the US Open tennis championship, which is being held in New York, has been postponed due to rain, according to the tournament’s Twitter page.

As noted, the delay will not affect the meetings that are scheduled to take place on the Louis Armstrong court.

“As soon as the rain stops, we will dry the courts and start the game,” the message reads.

The US Open was the first Grand slam tournament after a pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic. All matches of the US Open are played without spectators.
