Despite the fact that OnePlus only recently introduced the flagship OnePlus 8T, information about the next year’s lineup – OnePlus 9 – is already on the net.
XDA enthusiasts found mentions of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro models in the OxygenOS code. Firstly, the company may return to the stores of telecom operators, as there is an indication of Verizon. By the way, the OnePlus 8T hasn’t been launched on Verizon Wireless in the US. The last phone from the Chinese company to launch on Verizon was the OnePlus 8 5G UW, which was a special version of the OnePlus 8 with mmWave antennas to support Verizon’s 5G ultra-wideband network. The phone also had an IP68 rating, which the global OnePlus 8 lacked. But for us it’s not as exciting as it is for US buyers.
Secondly, the codenames of OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are indicated:
- lemonade – OnePlus 9
- lemonadet – T-Mobile OnePlus 9
- lemonadev – Verizon OnePlus 9
- lemonadep – OnePlus 9 Pro
- lemonadept – T-Mobile OnePlus 9 Pro
Actually, we have already heard about “lemonade” before, but there has not been any mention of “lemonadep” yet.
Recall that smartphones are credited with the top-end Snapdragon 875 processor, the announcement of which is scheduled for December 1, displays with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for 5G. According to rumors, in 2021 the flagships will debut earlier than usual – in mid-March.
