Out of nominations, The Weeknd boycotted the Grammy Awards

It became known that the Ethiopian-Canadian singer The Weeknd is very unhappy with what is happening in musical circles. The artist decided to boycott the Grammy Awards. Born Abel Tesfay was forced to take this step, as earlier his album After Hours and hit Blinding Lights were excluded from the nominations list.

This happened a few months ago. Then the musician began a real fight with the Grammy. He loudly announced that the management of the award was mired in corruption. Now, the 31-year-old singer will no longer allow his label to provide his music to the Grammy.

By the way, the musician is supported by his fans. So, users of social networks began to actively write that the organizers of the “Grammy” ignore the achievements of The Weeknd. After all, his hit After Hours was the best-selling hit in the United States in the first half of 2020.

We will remind you, “Grammy” announced the nominees for the awards on the night of November 25. Singer Beyoncé became the leader in the number of nominations. She was nominated for nine awards at once. Three more performers are nominated for awards in six nominations – Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and rapper Roddy Rich.
