OPPO X 2021: a 7.4-inch stretch OLED smartphone concept

OPPO, as part of the INNO DAY 2020 event in China, showed an unusual novelty – OPPO X 2021.

OPPO X 2021 is a stretch OLED smartphone concept. The display is made using the patented Warp Track laminated technology. Judging by the images and videos on the web, the screen has a plastic coating. In normal use, the display is 6.7 inches, but in tablet mode it increases to 7.4 inches.

You don’t need to stretch the screen manually. This is done through gestures. The system works thanks to double motors and special plates that are located under the screen. They pull and stretch the screen with even force.

OPPO X 2021 also received a case with one fixed and one movable edge.

The company did not disclose the characteristics of OPPO X 2021. It is also unknown whether the manufacturer plans to launch such a device on the market. By the way, LG, Samsung and TCL are also working on similar smartphones.
