OPPO unveils next-generation sub-screen camera technology

OPPO, two years after the release of the sub-screen camera technology for smartphones, has released its second version.

The next generation solves many technical and production problems. For example, poor display of the screen in the area of the module, poor quality of photos, as well as problems with reliability and service life. The company managed to do this thanks to the new pixel geometry. This solution reduces the size of each pixel without decreasing their number. This provides an improved 400ppi screen quality in the camera area.

OPPO has also replaced the traditional panel wiring with a transparent material. Together with a process that reduces wire width by 50%, this results in higher image quality and smoother visual experience. Also, engineers have worked on the contrast, clarity and brightness of the display, as well as on its lifespan. According to the manufacturer, the durability of such a screen has increased by up to 50%.

OPPO has not yet said when smartphones with the new technology will hit the market. We can only assume that the first device of the company will be released before the end of this year.
