OnePlus showed yesterday in China its new proprietary shell, HydrogenOS 11 (aka OxygenOS 11 for the global market).
The new version has received an updated interface design, which has become more minimalistic. It has also been optimized for one-handed use.
The main innovation of HydrogenOS 11 is the long-awaited Always-on display feature. She got a lot of unique widgets and the ability to adjust to the desktop picture.
The company’s developers also updated the interface of standard applications, as well as added an adaptive dark theme with fast switching in the notification shade, two new system fonts and Zen Mode 2.0 with three themes and the ability to invite friends or family to digital detoxification.
In China, OnePlus plans to update the OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones to the new shell. Users of the last two devices can already test the new software, and the stable version for them will be released in September-October. Everyone else will get it by the end of the year. There is no global update schedule yet.
