While everyone is waiting for the presentation of the flagship line of OnePlus 9, details about the second generation of the Nord smartphone have appeared on the network.
The information was reported by a source of the publication Android Central. According to the leak, the OnePlus Nord 2 will be the first smartphone from the company to be equipped with a non-Qualcomm chip. An insider claims that the device will receive the flagship SoC MediaTek Dimensity 1200.
Recall that Dimensity 1200 is a 6-nanometer processor. It was shown in January. It has three 2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 cores, one 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 core and four 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The processor is equipped with a Mali G77 MC9 video accelerator, an APU 3.0 module for processing AI functions, and an integrated 5G modem. By the way, MediaTek Dimensity 1200 is comparable in performance to Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 870.
Unfortunately, there are no other specs for the OnePlus Nord 2 yet. It is only known that the smartphone is codenamed Denniz.
The device should be presented in the second quarter of this year.
