One person was lost in a fire at a chemical plant in Texas in the United States

One person was killed and three others were injured in a fire that occurred at a chemical plant in Texas in the United States.

The incident occurred in the city of Crosby, located about 40 km North-East of Houston – the fourth largest city in the United States. Local police said to media that the fire broke out due to leakage of isobutene, and then spread through the plant.

At plant declared that as a result of incident one person was lost, three people suffered, two of them were seriously injured.

The roads leading to the plant were blocked by the police. All residents within 1.6 km of the scene were advised to remain in their homes. The fire was completely extinguished only five hours later. The relevant authorities monitor the air quality at the scene of the incident and in the surrounding areas.

We will remind that on March 17 in a warehouse of oil products near Houston also there was a fire. This led to air pollution, classes were canceled in educational institutions.
