Because of the shooting in a synagogue in California, one person died and three were injured, CBS reported, citing local authorities. It is noted that the 19-year-old suspect named as Johan Earnest reported the shooting and called the police. He is arrested.

According to the channel, a man entered the synagogue of the city of Poway and opened fire with an assault rifle.

“Thoughts and prayers for all those affected by the shooting in the synagogue in Poway <...> God bless you all. Suspect arrested. Law enforcement has done an outstanding job. Thank you!”,— wrote on Twitter US President Donald Trump.

Later, NBC reported an open anti-Semitic letter, which was published on one of the right-wing portals under the name of the suspect a few hours before the attack. The letter, according to the channel, noted that the attack in the synagogue “was inspired” by the terrorist attacks in two mosques in Christchurch in New Zealand.
