In the US state of Washington, a local resident found on the coast a strange creature, which experts later identified as a rare Pacific snakelike eel.
The fish body was in the sand on the surface was visible only the head. Presumably, eel washed ashore during a storm.
The specialists from Seaside Aquarium, who came for the find, placed the eel in a container with water and took it to rehabilitation. The fish had damaged pectoral fins.
According to the staff of the aquarium, they often receive reports of the discovery of strange fish, but this finding is really rare.
Pacific snake eel is almost not found in the area of Washington state. Mostly these fish live in Peru and sometimes swim in Northern California.
