Oil supplies from Venezuela to the United States fell 2.5 times in the week ended on March 1. And during the year, the volume of deliveries decreased by 6.9 times.
Up to 83,000 barrels of oil per day were supplied to the United States from this country last week. Supplies have been falling for weeks. At the end of February, the volume of oil from Venezuela to the US has already decreased three times.
Such consequences were caused by the sanctions imposed by the United States against the Venezuelan oil state company PDVSA. Before their introduction, Venezuela supplied up to 1.66 million barrels of oil per day to the United States every day.
