Off the coast of Chile, an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 occurred

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 occurred off the coast of Chile, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The earthquake was recorded at 06.57 UTC. The epicenter of the tremors was located 8 kilometers southeast of the city of Coquimbo in Chile; the focus lay at a depth of 10 kilometers. Information about possible victims and destruction was not received.
