Novak Djokovic will decide on US Open participation in the coming days

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic in the coming days will decide on a trip to the US Open. It is possible that the ATP#1 will refuse to participate in the Grand Slam tournament, which starts on 31 August. If Djokovic refuses to participate, then the tournament will miss the entire “Big Three”. Earlier, Spaniard Rafael Nadal announced his withdrawal from the tournament. Roger Federer misses the second half of the season due to injury.

According to the Serbian sports website Sportklub, Novak is considering a trip to the United States. The decision will be made in the coming days. The Serbian tennis player may refuse to participate in the US Open in order to prepare for Roland Garros, which kicks off immediately after the American tournament.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the WTA tour was suspended in March and resumed on August 3 at the tournament in Palermo. After the resumption of the season, it is planned to hold two Masters in a short time, as well as the US Open and Roland Garros.
