Norwegian MP nominates Trump for 2021 Nobel Peace Prize

Christian Tybring Gjedde believes that the US President is worthy of awards for his role in the agreement on normalization of relations between Israel and the UAE.

Norwegian MP and member of the Progress Party Christian Tybring-Gjedde has nominated US President Donald Trump for the 2021 Nobel peace prize. He said this on Wednesday to Fox.
In his opinion, Trump deserves this award for his role in the agreement on the normalization of relations between Israel and the UAE.

“This is a very important region. And all the efforts that led to peace in it should be awarded the Nobel peace prize, including [awarding it] Donald Trump,” said Tybring Gjedde.

On August 13, Trump announced that Israel and the UAE had reached an agreement to normalize bilateral relations fully. According to the agreements, Israel will suspend the extension of its sovereignty to Jewish settlements in the West Bank, which is stipulated by the American plan for the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
