New Spreader of Coronavirus Revealed

Tree pollen was able to carry coronavirus particles. This conclusion was reached by scientists from the Cyprus University of Nicosia, writes the Daily Mail.

The version about the “super-distributor” of COVID-19 was confirmed during an experiment that was decided to conduct to understand how different particles affect the spread of the virus. It turned out that there is a connection between the COVID-19 outbreaks and the concentration of pollen in the air.

After analyzing a specially created computer model, the experts found that the pollen helps the virus particles to travel a greater distance. After consulting the national allergen map, they found that more cases of infection were recorded just in those areas where the concentration of pollen in the air was higher.

According to scientists, in the conditions of the spread of the virus by pollen, the accepted social distance of two meters may not be enough.
