New Mexico legalized marijuana for recreational purposes

Governor Grisham expects that this will lead to the creation of more than 10 thousand jobs.

New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham has signed a bill to legalize the use of marijuana for recreational purposes.

The Democratic governor said that legalization should lead to the creation of more than 10,000 new jobs and the release of about 100 people from prison.

Thus, since last November, New Mexico became the seventh state to legalize the possession and sale of cannabis to adults for recreational purposes

Recreational marijuana use will become legal in the coming months, and sales in the state will begin next year.
