New app can scan a person in 3D

In3D application allows you to make your own 3D copy. This requires only a smartphone with the application installed on it.

In3D is a member of the Alchemist accelerator, the founders of the startup are Dmitry Ulyanov and Sergey Sherman. Today the project team employs 9 people.

For now, the 3D scanning app is only available to Apple users.

The resulting 3D model can be exported to GTA V or Second Life, made to move, for example, dance, used as an element of augmented reality, or (suddenly) ordered jeans by your measurements.

Despite the relatively small range of services, in the future, such technology may have the widest application. For example, it will help with online shopping, make it possible to order clothes from tailors online, and make it possible to create new applications related to weight control and sports.
