Players from different NBA clubs left messages on social networks with words of support for Klay Thompson, who suffered a severe injury to his right leg during training. The Golden State Warriors defender is believed to have injured his Achilles tendon.
“Damn, Clay. Keeping your head down, bro, ” DeMarcus Cousins turned to Thompson.
“Damn it, I hope you’re okay, brother,” wrote C.J. McCollum.
Also, messages in support of Thompson on social networks were left by Paul George, Donovan Mitchell, Trey Young, Buddy Heald, Jamal Crawford, Eric Pasquale and others.
Thompson will undergo an MRI later and on its basis, they hope to get more information about the nature of the damage and the estimated recovery time. Clay missed the 2019/2020 season with a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee. Achilles injury is considered to be no less serious and could lead to missing the entire season.
