NATO told about the possibility of a strike on Russia in the Black Sea

In theory, NATO ships can open fire on the Russian fleet in the Black Sea. This was stated to Business Insider by the commander of the US Navy in Europe and Africa, Admiral Robert Burke.

According to him, the possibility of a strike exists if Russia commits a provocation against the alliance forces, and the captain of the NATO ship regards this as a threat. “I’m not going to require my commanders to take the first blow to the jaw,” the American admiral said. At the same time, he stressed that the military would also not shoot first.

Burke noted that Russian ships and planes constantly accompany NATO forces in the Black Sea. Usually, the actions of the Russian military are professional and do not look like acts of aggression.
