Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with the Wall Street Journal said that NATO plans to build a facility in Poland to store military equipment from the United States.

According to him, the construction of the facility will begin this summer on the territory of the airbase in Powidze and will be completed tentatively in 2021.
The cost of the project is estimated at $ 260 million.

“This shows how closely we work with the United States. This will strengthen the expanded the US presence in Poland,” Stoltenberg explained.

Earlier it became known that Poland in 2018 exceeded the standard NATO on defense 2.05% of GDP.
